About Us

Kungälv Hospital is a 24/7 open hospital with emergency and planned specialist care as well as trauma reception duties. Medicine, surgery, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, geriatrics, psychiatry, intensive care, and diagnostics. Our goal is to provide the highest quality in medical care. Clinical chemistry and Transfusion Medicine have about 30 employees and operate 24/7. We provide diagnostic services around the clock to the hospital's clinics and health centers within the catchment area. The operation is accredited and has modern analytical equipment.

Job Responsibilities

Routine analyses within clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine. We have a wide range of analyses across several processes such as hematology, coagulation, general chemistry, immunochemistry, blood group serology, and pharmaceuticals. Sample collection and testing are also part of the job responsibilities. We receive blood donors and are part of the GeBlod operation, with blood collection included in the job tasks.

Evening and weekend shifts, as well as night shifts, may occur; we offer individual scheduling (ISP schedule).

About You

We are looking for a licensed biomedical analyst with a focus on laboratory medicine. It is advantageous if you have prior experience in clinical chemical routine analyses and blood group serological work.

The work requires good interaction and communication skills as you will have a lot of contact both internally and externally with our customers. As a biomedical analyst, you need to be flexible, responsible, and able to work in a sometimes fast-paced environment. You are quality-conscious and have an interest and commitment to continuously develop our operations. You are also stable with good judgment and have no problem independently managing tasks. Furthermore, you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Personal suitability is highly valued.
