We are looking for a nursing assistant at Villa Orrholmen for our somatic department, which focuses on rehabilitative and function-preserving methods. Our operations are conducted in new, fresh premises, and we have a wonderful team in place ready to welcome new colleagues. Here, you have the opportunity to truly influence the daily work. We offer training and several benefits. Are you the one we are looking for?
This is what you get with us:
Training that makes your work easier, such as 'The Good Day,' which describes our working methods in detail, low-arousal responses, and function-preserving approaches.
Benefits portal with discounts and offers. For example, you can purchase movie tickets and public transport tickets at a good price.
A coaching and supportive manager who works alongside you in your daily tasks.
Clear working methods and routines that simplify your job.
Career and development opportunities. For example, you can become a group leader with personnel responsibility or take on a specific subject responsibility such as dementia or hygiene representative.
About Villa Orrholmen
The facility is located near the center of Karlstad, surrounded by Lake Vänern. We have a total of 60 apartments spread over three floors. Two floors have a total of 40 places for residents with dementia, and one floor has 20 places focused on somatics. We are looking for a nursing assistant for both the dementia department and the somatic department.
We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that all of us who work here are trained in dementia and responses through Vardaga's Dementia Academy.
We apply a needs-based wish schedule. This means that you, as an employee, have the opportunity to influence your own working hours based on needs and wishes. We schedule for five weeks at a time.
We collaborate with the company Ung Omsorg. This means that a team of young people aged 14-18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg organizes various activities to enhance the lives of our residents.
You will have a group leader who spends most of their time working closely with you in the operations.
As a nursing assistant, you are incredibly important!
Your task is to provide quality of life. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see each person and interpret what they need. At the same time, you learn a lot about care, aging, and how to meet people.
You are closest to the resident and thus have a key role in the team with the nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist. You also participate in care planning and write social documentation.
With the heart in the right place
With us, you will work in a strong culture driven by our vision: We make the world a little better, one person at a time. It is extremely important that you share our vision and our four values:
Respect: With us, everyone has the right to a dignified life with physical, mental, and social well-being.
Responsibility: With us, we have employees who dare and want to, and managers who listen and lead.
Simplicity: With us, it is easy to influence and to be an employee or customer.
Knowledge: With us, we reflect, learn from each other, and utilize everyone's competence.
Together, we continuously work to ensure that our values permeate our interactions, both with each other and with all who live with us.
Your experience and knowledge
We prefer that you are a trained nursing assistant and have worked a few years in elderly care. Experience in rehabilitation is an advantage. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are also advantageous. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you share our values and have the right qualities, we will support you and provide opportunities for growth.
We believe that you:
- are attracted to a varied job and enjoy meeting people in different situations.
- are a creative person who dares to think independently and take responsibility.
- thrive in teamwork and support your colleagues.
