Your workplace

The inpatient care in Arvika has been its own area within Region Värmland since the beginning of the year. The operations include an emergency department and two wards within acute internal medicine. The medical clinic contains several specialties in one, including diabetes, cardiology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, endoscopy, and a diagnostic center. We have a well-developed mobile care service with specialized healthcare at home.

We believe that healthcare must be based on our patients' needs and the competence of our staff. Depending on your personal qualifications, you will receive an introductory program and supervision tailored to your needs.

Your tasks

Your tasks will consist of participating in various parts of the operations – that is, ward work, on-call duty in the emergency department, and work in the mobile teams depending on your skills and experience. If you are further along in your training (for example, a resident or specialist), a placement in our medical clinic may also be of interest to you. The work involves personal responsibility under supervision.

The position includes a 6-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension. After the temporary position, there is an opportunity to start BT or continue with ST in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or Palliative Medicine.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for someone with a Swedish medical license or medical degree, or a decision document from the National Board of Health and Welfare. As a person, you have a strong drive to develop and a desire to contribute to the development of the operations together with colleagues and staff.

You are engaged, flexible, and have a good ability to adapt to different situations and act with good judgment. This enables you to handle both independent work and teamwork. You always put the patient first and are responsible and motivated in your work. Your communication skills and your willingness to contribute to a good working environment are qualities we highly value.
