JOB DESCRIPTION
As a summer substitute at the police service center, you will have an important role within the framework of the police's service mission. You will assist the public and work with police authority matters. You will be the face of the authority and possibly the visitor's first contact with the police.
Main tasks:
- Process passport and ID card applications
Other tasks may include receiving and registering reports from the public and handling lost property.
A prerequisite for starting work as an administrator is that you are approved and certified in the mandatory internal training that begins in the first two weeks. It is advantageous if you can start the training in early June. The working hours at the police service center are primarily during daytime, but evening work and weekend shifts may occur.
QUALIFICATIONS
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- Completed and approved upper secondary education
- At least one year of work experience in service and/or administration
- Good computer skills and an ability to learn new IT systems easily
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
It is advantageous if you also have/are:
- Police or law student
- Swedish B driver's license
- Previous experience from the police or another government agency
- Previous experience working in a service profession where you have met your customers in person, e.g., in reception, retail, or healthcare
- Recent experience processing applications for passports and national ID cards
- Knowledge of sign language and/or non-Nordic language skills in addition to English, where you can use the language fluently in your profession
Personal qualities
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team, has good collaboration skills, and a willingness to contribute to a good working atmosphere. The role of administrator involves many contact points, and it is important that you are willing to provide good service to the public. You are flexible, structured, and able to prioritize. The pace of work is often high, which also requires resilience to stress.

Work location: Varberg, Halmstad, Falkenberg, or Kungsbacka.
Working hours: Weekly planned working hours, daytime with flexibility, evening and weekend shifts may occur.
Start date: Training starts in weeks 23-24.
Function: Administrator.
