Elvbacken is an LSS group home for elderly individuals with various disabilities and multiple handicaps. The accommodation consists of 8 apartments with a shared living room and kitchen as common space. Elvbacken is located in the Fårbo residential area, close to grocery stores and lovely green areas. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a care assistant, you report directly to the unit manager and implement care and service measures according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL). Your main tasks are to meet our users' needs for care, support, and interaction. You will be part of a workgroup consisting of 9 day staff and 3 night staff.

Working as a care assistant at night at Elvbacken means that you participate in all relevant tasks to provide our users with the support and safety they need. Care constitutes the largest part, but medical tasks, lifting, turning, showering, etc., are also included. The tasks vary depending on the residents' functional abilities, needs, and individual circumstances. We work with a low-arousal approach as we see it as a successful method.

You will work with individually designed implementation plans where you provide support, service, and care to the residents in their apartments and common areas based on their needs. There are also medical tasks based on the user's needs.

You will also assist in preparing for cooking and baking. Laundry and cleaning are other tasks that occur. Some tasks are performed via computer, such as documentation in our journal system, scheduling system, food ordering, etc.

Elvbacken has a close collaboration with nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. As a care assistant, you will participate in business development, quality assurance, and professional development together with your colleagues and manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying should be a trained nursing assistant. It is advantageous if you are also trained with a focus on individuals with disabilities and/or have work experience with the target group. You have the ability to work in a structured and organized manner. You are meticulous and care about meeting goals and quality standards. A B driver's license is a requirement.
