The habilitation is a specialist service that provides support to children, youth, and adults with disabilities such as mobility impairments, intellectual disabilities, and autism.

For this position, you will work in both our children and youth team as well as in the adult team.

As an occupational therapist with us

You will work with habilitative interventions based on the individual needs of the patient and in close collaboration with their families and networks. The interventions are carried out both from your own profession and in a cross-professional team to create conditions for the individual's development, learning, independence, and participation. As an occupational therapist, you are responsible for assessment, evaluation, and treatment as well as the testing and prescribing of assistive devices.

About you

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist who has a curious interest in habilitation. You need to have good collaborative skills, the ability to plan and structure your work, take initiative, and be flexible. We always strive to find the best interventions for each patient we meet, which allows for creativity and problem-solving in your professional role. Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as a B driver's license, is a requirement for the position. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Your future workplace

The base unit includes five habilitation teams and a vision center with clinics in Västervik, Vimmerby, and Oskarshamn. We have about 50 employees with different professions, and in the teams, there are occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, social workers, speech therapists, special educators, doctors, nurses, and team secretaries.
