Your tasks

As a nursing assistant within Health and Medical Care in a care and nursing home, you will work with delegated tasks at the primary care level together with our nurses. The assignment aims to relieve nurses of tasks that can be delegated to a nursing assistant.

You will perform tasks delegated by the nurse such as distributing APO doses, dressings, venipuncture, blood pressure/pulse measurement for the residents of a care and nursing home within Umeå Municipality. You will also provide guidance/instruction to care staff at the facility and document completed tasks as directed by the nurse. Your role includes close collaboration with nurses at the facility.

About you

You are a trained nursing assistant with experience in care and nursing. It is an advantage if you have experience in elderly care, delegation of medication distribution, and insulin administration. The position requires good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

You have good initiative and are good at thinking innovatively. You can work independently while recognizing the importance of collaboration with various professional roles, where the individual also has an active role. Of course, you have a good, respectful attitude and are attentive and open in your interactions with both the individuals being cared for and their relatives. You are good at collaborating and want to contribute to good communication and cooperation with other stakeholders.

Special fixed-term employment, full-time, with immediate start, by agreement until 2026-12-31. Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:30 and 37 hours/week (according to agreement).
