The Individual and Family Care in Mönsterås Municipality consists of four units: Adult, foster home and family law unit, Children and Youth unit, Treatment and Support Housing unit, and Assistance unit. Each unit has a unit manager who leads and distributes the work. The unit manager is also there for support and guidance in daily work. There is an opportunity for remote work and vacation exchange.

The Assistance unit consists of eight assistance officers distributed among five in elderly care and three in LSS/Social Psychiatry.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In the role of assistance officer within LSS/Social Psychiatry, you will handle individuals in need of care services, according to the Social Services Act and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons.

The work consists of investigative work where you map and assess the individual's situation and need for help and support and make decisions about interventions based on applicable legislation and delegation order. To be able to investigate the needs in our target group, home visits, follow-ups via video meetings and phone, as well as meetings with the Region are included. In the investigative work, we place great emphasis on good treatment, well-founded decisions, and high legal certainty. You will collaborate with other parts of the municipality, such as nurses, unit managers, and rehabilitation staff. Cooperation also takes place with the Region.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You are a social worker or have another education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• You have a good ability to understand people's varying living conditions and meet them with respect and sensitivity.
• You have an easy time motivating people to change and work from a salutogenic approach.
• You are responsible and have the ability to work in a structured and independent manner.
• You express yourself well in speech and writing.
• You are interested in contributing to your own and the group's development and work environment.
• You find it stimulating to work in a small municipality with proximity to collaboration and decision-making.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Experience of authority exercise and previous work with the target groups is meritorious. If you have experience with the operational systems Life Care and Cosmic Link, as well as working with assessments according to IBIC, Individual's Needs in Center, that is also meritorious.
