Construction projects are an area of operation belonging to Regionfastigheter in Region Östergötland, which plans and implements construction projects throughout the county.

In our organization, there are project managers, project leaders, design leaders, construction leaders, functional planners, business developers, and a number of support functions related to finance, quality, and more. In addition to our employees, we have several hired project managers who assist us in driving projects.

For several years, we have carried out large and small construction projects throughout the county, but we still face significant challenges in ensuring high quality and robustness in our properties. The premises need to be energy-efficient and secured for long-term management with low operating costs while also being flexible and adaptable to rapid changes in operations. The projects, consisting of both new construction and renovations, currently amount to a total of 1,000 million SEK per year and are expected to remain at that level for several years to come. The projects can be in both owned and rented properties and are driven in a collaborative form to achieve more cost-effective construction with high quality and greater job satisfaction for all involved. Regionfastigheter is constantly working on the development of its own operations, where you are expected to contribute actively.

Job Description

In the project organization, there are great opportunities to develop in an open and permissive work environment where you have ample opportunities for individual development tailored to your interests and profile. The work involves project management in construction projects. Project management includes, for example, acting as a project manager, installation manager for control and regulation/surveillance, installation manager for control/plumbing/electrical, etc., depending on the background of the applicant. There are also opportunities to develop within these areas.

The projects are largely driven with designers and contractors from procured framework agreements, which creates great opportunities to build long-term relationships and work sustainably. It is important that the needs of the operations and property owners are taken into account in the work for the best overall result. The place of employment is Linköping, but the entire county constitutes the work field; needs vary over time, and the project management organization is mobile across the county. This entails some travel within the county, and a B driver's license is therefore a requirement.

About You

You are a trained engineer or have professional experience that we assess as equivalent, such as work as a specialist in control/plumbing/electrical installation. You have several years of experience in the construction/installation industry. You have good computer skills and have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. Experience from LOU, procurements, and work with tender documents, coordinated testing is meritorious. Also, experience from hospital projects and other technically advanced construction and installation projects, especially regarding electrical, plumbing, and control and regulation/surveillance, is meritorious.

As a person, you are capable of making decisions and acting on them even if, for example, the information is limited. You understand and apply business principles and can thereby maximize the benefit of invested funds. Since the work is done together with both colleagues and various operations within healthcare, it is important that you enjoy collaborating and are good at listening and communicating.

Important in this work is the ability to have a broad perspective on issues, to see the long-term significance and consequences of things, and to adapt the work accordingly. You enjoy leading others and are good at creating participation and engagement in the groups you work with to achieve set goals. During recruitment, great focus will be placed on personal qualities.
