Project Leader for Urban Development in Linköping

Do you want to lead urban development projects that truly make a difference and impact the city's growth? With us, you have the chance to help build the future of Linköping – a city in strong growth where you will have significant responsibility, diverse projects, and the opportunity to both broaden and deepen your skills.

Your Responsibilities

With us, you will lead the expansion of public land in line with Linköping's growing need for new housing, business areas, and sustainable investments. The projects are technically and economically complex, varying in size and content – from new districts, streets, and parks to renovations of existing urban environments.

You will be responsible for the entire process, working on everything from preliminary planning to procurement, implementation, and handover. This includes responsibility for monitoring time, budget, and quality, which involves planning and coordinating resources, procuring consultants and contractors, and ensuring that project goals are met. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues and external stakeholders. You will also contribute to the development of technical solutions and calculations in early planning phases and participate in the development of our working methods.

This is a position for you who want broad responsibility, enjoy leading complex projects, and want to contribute to building a sustainable and attractive Linköping.

Your Workplace

The Investment Projects unit within the Department of Economy and Governance is tasked with project managing the expansion of public land in Linköping municipality, according to established plans for the municipality's expansion of new residential and business areas as well as investments. Project and investigation assignments primarily come from the department's land and development operations and urban environment activities.

With us, you will become part of an engaged and knowledgeable group with eleven project manager colleagues. Our unit is also supported by a geotechnician and a controller. In addition to an enjoyable job and great colleagues, we also offer a flexible work environment focused on development, collaboration, and a healthy work-life balance.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with a university degree in urban development with a focus on road and water or similar relevant work experience in the field. Education in construction work environment coordination (Bas-P, Bas-U) is an advantage. You have good knowledge and experience of AMA Construction and MER, as well as contract law and industry regulations such as AB 04, ABT 06, and AMA AF.

Experience in project management, KMA (quality, environment, work environment), technology and installation, as well as law and economics related to land and construction projects is also advantageous. It is also beneficial if you have experience in roles such as construction manager or design manager. You are accustomed to leading meetings and handling contract issues, notifications, and changes. You have basic knowledge in geotechnics and experience with water and sewage solutions and remediation of contaminated land.

You are an engaged and driven person who takes responsibility for your projects and ensures they are executed with high quality, on time, and within budget. You work in a structured manner, easily grasp complex issues, and take the initiative to drive work forward. At the same time, you have good collaboration skills and thrive in cooperation with others, listening to different perspectives and creating engagement within the project group. Your communication style is a success factor in creating both progress and participation. It is natural for you to share knowledge, and you appreciate a workday where you learn from each other. You show great commitment, a positive attitude, and contribute to the team's good collaboration.

In this recruitment, we use personality and problem-solving tests as part of our assessment.
