JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Carpentry, printing, and assembly are some examples of employment where Skänninge Prison's ambition is to assist our inmates in reintegrating successfully. We currently have a team of 17 production leaders across seven operational areas. We are now looking for summer substitutes who want to help drive our operations during the summer!

As a production leader, you will have direct contact with the prison's clients, where you will lead the production work. The position does not involve personnel responsibility but only leadership of our clients. After your introduction, you will be responsible for production planning and daily operations together with your colleagues. You will be involved in daily work and instruct the inmates in both work tasks and behavior, attitudes, and values. In your daily contact with the inmates, your work will contribute to their learning and also encourage them to reflect on their situation.

You will plan, delegate tasks, and ensure that our deliveries are made on time. You will participate in customer contacts, job procurement, and preparation/planning, as well as some departmental work. You will also help ensure that workplace safety and health regulations are followed regarding machines and other materials.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, we want you to be clear in your communication and enjoy collaborating in a group as well as working independently. As a person, you are flexible, resilient, and proactive. You have a positive view of people, empathetic ability, and can handle conflicts constructively.

Your pedagogical experience gives you a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge, their different circumstances, and you can adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient. You are calm, stable, and clear in your communication and ensure that messages reach all relevant parties. Good judgment contributes to making correct assessments and priorities. You have a physical condition that allows you to act physically when the situation requires it.

We want you to have:

• Completed upper secondary school education in the form of a diploma or high school graduation, or vocational qualification in a relevant field
• Experience in workshop mechanics, woodworking industry, assembly and packaging, printing, and/or laundry
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish

It is an advantage if you have:

• B driver's license
• Forklift license
• Post-secondary education preferably in economics and/or marketing
• Knowledge of ISO9000
• Knowledge of invoicing
• Training and/or experience in lean
• Experience in customer service
• Relevant language skills
• Knowledge of treatment work and understanding of its significance and role in the inmates' execution
• Work experience in leadership for industrial work
• Pedagogical experience in motivational leadership
• Work experience from one or more areas within correctional services, security work, social care, psychiatry, or health and care work
• Safety awareness both in terms of workplace safety and client safety
