We are now looking for an administrator for our guardianship operations!

The guardianship operations are a collaboration between the municipalities of Ydre, Kinda, Åtvidaberg, and Vimmerby, where Vimmerby is the host municipality. The operations consist of three administrators, two administrators, and one unit manager. There is also regular cooperation with the municipality's lawyer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a guardianship administrator, you will work with authority exercise and handle cases related to guardianship, trusteeship, and parental responsibility according to applicable legislation. You will make independent decisions and prepare cases for the guardianship authority and the district court. The work involves handling often complex cases where legal certainty and the best interests of the individual are always in focus. We are a supervisory authority that ensures that the principal's needs are met in a legally secure manner.

In the summer of 2026, new legislation in the guardianship area will come into force. This entails an expanded and more complex assignment for the Guardianship Unit, including the transfer of responsibility for some cases currently handled by the district courts to the operations. This is a significant change that will affect both working methods and distribution of responsibilities.

The role involves many contacts with representatives, principals, relatives, and other authorities. The assignment also includes informing and educating within the area of operations as well as recruiting and training representatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree of at least 180 credits with a focus on social work, law, or economics.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language and expresses themselves well in both speech and writing.
• Experience in similar work.
