Reception secretaries, investigators, foster care secretaries, child follow-up workers, social workers who follow up on outpatient care efforts, placement coordinators, and administrators sit together in adjacent corridors. The Child and Youth Unit's outpatient care is just a stone's throw away. The outpatient care is well-developed as it has been and is a prioritized area for our politicians who see the benefits of meeting individuals' needs for home-based solutions as much as possible.

For those of you who are newly employed, we offer an introduction to your new mission. There is close leadership from the team leader and unit manager. It is the team leader who leads and distributes the daily work and is always close at hand for support and guidance. The unit manager is also close to the operations with an open door for questions, conversations, and support.

Job Responsibilities

  • Recruit, investigate, educate, and guide foster homes and other contractors for interventions according to SoL and LSS.
  • Manage contracts, compensations, and ongoing support for contractors.
  • Participate in follow-ups of granted interventions and assess families' suitability and abilities.
  • Contribute to matching between children/youth and foster homes based on the child's needs and the family's resources.
  • Work legally secure based on legislation, regulations, guidelines, and our internal routines.
  • Participate in business development and collaboration with colleagues and managers to contribute to a well-functioning and qualitative operation.

Qualifications

  • Degree in social work or other equivalent education deemed appropriate by the employer.
  • Driving license B.

Desirable Competence

  • Experience of authority exercise within child and youth care.
  • Good knowledge of functional variations and relevant legislation.
  • Good knowledge of child development and commitment to vulnerable children, as well as a willingness to contribute with innovative thinking and method development.
  • Training in revised BBIC and Signs of Safety.

Since communication and writing are a large part of the work, it is a requirement that you have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, and that you are meticulous regarding documentation and processing.

Employment Conditions

Position: 1 permanent full-time position as a foster care secretary
Working hours: daytime, some evening work may occur
Start date: by agreement
Salary setting: individual salary setting; probationary employment may apply
Requirement: Driving license B

Possibility of remote work if the operation allows.

We offer a flexible working hours agreement, wellness allowance of 2000 SEK/year, or wellness allowance exchange for health examination.

We will request an extract from the criminal record upon possible employment.
