Verification and Validation Engineer in Vehicle Technology

About the Position
In this role, you will participate in the verification and validation work that FMV conducts in the vehicle area in connection with the procurement and maintenance of equipment and capabilities for the Armed Forces. You will take part in planning, conducting, and reporting tests and trials with military vehicle and combat vehicle systems, both tracked and wheeled.
The role of verification and validation engineer involves a varied job where you work practically in the workshop and field as well as perform administrative tasks at the desk. Your main tasks include testing and trials as well as delivery control, primarily of heavy wheeled vehicles and preparations of FMV's test objects. You will work with ongoing maintenance of vehicles, weapons, and test facilities, as well as perform troubleshooting and repairs on both tracked and wheeled combat vehicles and their systems.
In addition to practical work, you will have elements of office-based tasks such as documentation, reporting, participating in planning and follow-up of completed work. You will also participate in technical evaluations and analysis work related to our test vehicles, the Armed Forces' equipment, and various material systems.
The work requires the ability to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting and work on and in vehicles.
The position is located in Skövde. Travel occurs in the position, both domestically and internationally.
About You
We are looking for someone with a university degree in a technical field or technical officer training/specialist officer training, or equivalent technical competence acquired in another way, for example in vehicle or workshop technology. You have good knowledge of vehicle or workshop technology, and you can express yourself well in both spoken and written form, in both Swedish and English. You have a B driver's license.
To succeed in this role, we prefer that you have experience working with vehicle or workshop technology, preferably with a focus on heavy vehicle systems. If you have also worked with vehicles used within the Armed Forces, we see it as an advantage.
