JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a qualified preschool assistant, you work as part of a whole at the preschool. You are responsible for ensuring that the operations run smoothly in all contexts, and you need to have a sense of how to work pedagogically with clarity and to be a clear leader in the children's group.

You may be assigned practical tasks and need to show initiative in performing tasks such as changing diapers, setting and clearing tables, caregiving, and dressing.

You follow our routines and decisions in the operations.

You work together with your colleagues at the preschool to create a safe, educational, and fun environment for the children.

Who are we:

Grindstugan Preschool is an independent organization/parent cooperative in Gustavsberg, located in a nature-rich area.

We have bike Mondays and cargo bikes that we use for excursions during the summer months. We have an underlying focus on joint play that strengthens relationships and security between children and adults. We have qualified and engaged preschool teachers and assistants, as well as 50-52 children distributed across three departments. We have our own chef who makes fantastic food, and we have good cooperation with parents. We have weekly meetings on Thursdays during the day.

We go outside every day, morning and evening, in all kinds of weather year-round.

Our pedagogy is based on our core values where play, clarity, presence, joy, and community form the red thread that permeates our operations. We have harmonious and calm groups of children where they feel secure and thus have the opportunity to develop in peace. We do not just say that we work with our core values; we do it and are interactive and aware that our daily focus on core values is what creates secure and harmonious children. This is evident in our fantastic group of children where they resolve conflicts with words and invite everyone to play, thanks to a child culture that is based on 'open play' and 'joint adult-led games'.
