About the Unit:

The Procurement Unit is responsible for conducting procurements that meet the needs of the operations. Here we are driven to work on improving and developing the purchasing process, creating good relationships with our suppliers, and being businesslike by following up on our agreements. We want to do business with serious suppliers where you will play an important role.

The unit is part of the finance department and consists of four procurement officers, a purchasing controller, a contract controller, a lawyer, and a procurement manager. For the past year, we have been in completely new activity-based premises which enables close collaboration with other departments and colleagues in the municipality. In the unit, employees alternate between working in the office and remotely. Job Responsibilities:

As a procurement officer in Vallentuna Municipality, you will work on planning, executing, and following up on procurements. The role involves close collaboration with the municipality's operations where you provide support and advice throughout the procurement process, from needs analysis to signed contracts. The assignment also includes some contract follow-up in close collaboration with the unit's contract controller, where you together ensure that agreed terms are adhered to and contribute to the development of the municipality's purchasing and procurement work. The work is characterized by high quality, good service, and collaboration with both internal and external parties.

Qualifications:

• Relevant academic degree (e.g., law, economics, public administration) or vocational training in procurement/purchasing
• Several years of experience in public procurement according to LOU
• Experience in conducting procurements above threshold values
• Very good Swedish in speech and writing
• Good knowledge of Excel

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Experience in construction procurement and thus knowledge of AB 04 and ABT 06
• Experience in consulting procurements and thus knowledge of ABK 09
• Experience in actively working with contract follow-up
• Experience in coordinating procurements with other authorities
