JOB DESCRIPTION
As a nurse with us, you will collaborate with support staff, other nurses, and other healthcare providers in the joint work around our patients. The position offers a stimulating and varied job where you have the entire Strömsund municipality (except Frostviken) as your area of responsibility.
Our patients live in care, support, and nursing homes as well as in ordinary housing. You will use a car for work, and the job includes both planned and unplanned home visits. Additionally, it includes delegation, medication management, and supervision of both staff and patients.
According to an agreement with Region Jämtland/Härjedalen, the municipality is responsible for primary care preparedness during evenings and nights, which provides increased variation and breadth in patient cases.
The work is varied, and you will meet patients in different life situations and with varying needs. You will assess health and medical care needs, prioritize interventions, and also provide some telephone advice. In your role, you will delegate, advise, and supervise staff in the nursing work around the patients. You will work closely with various professionals within your own organization as well as with other healthcare providers. Working hours are scheduled for evenings and nights according to a roster, including two weekend shifts per six-week period.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed nurse who wants to be part of our team during night shifts. It is an advantage if you have further education as a specialist nurse with a focus on district nursing, palliative care, or elderly care. Experience in home healthcare is also an advantage.
As a person, you are stable and can maintain calm even in stressful situations. You are attentive to patients and their relatives and have an easy time building trusting relationships, which is especially important at night when you often work independently. You need to be self-driven but also collaborative, as good cooperation with colleagues, night staff, and other professional groups is crucial for a functioning work night.
We value a humble approach, where you contribute with commitment to a good work environment and help create a workplace where both patients and colleagues feel safe.
The job requires good medical competence as well as good computer skills and documentation ability. You also need to express yourself well in both speech and writing.
A B driver's license is a requirement.
