Your Mission

In this position, you will work days, evenings, weekends, split shifts, and possible resource shifts.

You need to be flexible and prepared for work across the entire Welfare sector during periods, not just within the home care area of Kastanjen. We have a close collaboration with all home care groups in Söderhamn municipality.

The mission as a care assistant is to meet the individual's basic and specific care and nursing needs. The role involves protecting and respecting everyone's right to privacy, self-determination, participation, and individual adaptation to enable the user to live as independently as possible. Tasks may include assisting with toilet visits, showering, dressing, light cooking, cleaning, and escorting. It may also involve performing medical tasks as delegated by a nurse. By providing care and social contact, you become an important part of the user's daily life.

Workplace Description

Home Care Kastanjen is a cheerful team of care assistants and nursing aides based in their home care facility in Ljusne. We consist of three teams that are geographically divided. You who are applying for this position should have a sense of the equal value of all people regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, or age.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant, and we prefer that you have previous experience in care and nursing work. As computers and phones are used as working tools, it is necessary that you have good computer and phone skills. The job also requires documentation and communication with various parties, which means you need to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. A driver's license for a car is a requirement for the position.
