The Infection Clinic in Region Kronoberg is a small and dynamic clinic with short decision-making paths and great opportunities to develop in your professional role. We have a county-wide mission in infectious disease care and provide both outpatient and inpatient care.

We have a care department with 16 beds and a clinic that includes needle exchange as well as extensive consulting services in Växjö and Ljungby. Our mission is to provide specialized infectious disease care to the residents of Kronoberg County, focusing on adult patients with serious infections, both acute and chronic, as well as communicable diseases.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a licensed physician in the infection department, you will have a varied job and become an important part of the team around the patient. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and different professional categories in a safe and supportive work environment.

We handle a broad patient group with high turnover, which means a large patient flow and varied workdays. You will:

• Investigate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic infectious diseases
• Participate in rounds, documentation, referrals, patient examinations, and family conversations
• Work with complex infections such as tuberculosis and CNS infections

We are looking for a licensed physician for a maternity leave position, starting around March 2026 and lasting until May 2027. The position offers a setup similar to a residency with opportunities for supervision and professional development, but it is not a formal residency position.

QUALIFICATIONS

• License as a physician
• Good collaboration skills and interest in infectious disease care
• Ability to work systematically and handle acute situations
