We are looking for a Project Manager for civil engineering to work with Investments at the Swedish Transport Administration.

This is a consulting assignment. Location: Linköping. Possibility for remote work is available and will be agreed upon with the responsible manager.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

Assignment Description The offered resource will manage, lead, and follow up on road projects within the Investment Operations in the Southeast Region together with design consultants and contractors. The project manager is responsible for time, budget, functionality, quality, safety, work environment, and environmental aspects, with particular expertise in constructability and load-bearing projects, including civil engineering works and bridges.

Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct and follow up project work in accordance with governing documents and the GÅ process.

• Initiate, prepare, and be responsible for the project's implementation and follow-up.

• Participate in TKI assurance, risk management, and follow-up of project plans, timelines, budgets, and forecasts.

• Participate in contract management with external stakeholders and property owners.

• Participate in procurements and coordination with utility owners.

• Monitor projects on-site through site visits, inspections, and coordination with construction managers.

• Lead design and contracts, including meetings, safety rounds, and feedback sessions.

• Provide technical advice and knowledge about roads, constructability, and load-bearing projects, as well as the processes for planning, construction documentation, and production.

• If necessary, assist other units within Investments in the Southeast Region as agreed.

• Transfer knowledge to the Swedish Transport Administration's staff about the tasks performed by the resource consultant.

Requirements (Mandatory)

a. Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

b. Experience working in project groups where coordination has been important.

c. B driver's license.

d. At least 3 years of work experience as a construction manager or in a supervisory role, such as production manager, site manager, or equivalent, in construction/infrastructure projects within the relevant technical area (project manager for general roads). The work experience should not be older than 10 years.

e. Knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and guidelines in the relevant area.

f. At least 7 years of work experience (as a project manager, construction manager, or project director in road projects, or experience deemed equivalent by the Swedish Transport Administration). The work experience should not be older than 10 years. Of these 7 years, at least 3 years of experience must correspond to at least 60% of a full-time position in one of the above roles during the specified time period.

g. At least 3 years of work experience (as a project manager, construction manager, or project director in road projects, or in a supervisory role, alternatively experience deemed equivalent by the Swedish Transport Administration) from civil engineering works related to bridges within the state or municipal road network. The work experience should not be older than 10 years.

Desirable

For the client, it is an added value if the offered consultant:

• Has experience from at least one assignment involving load-bearing investigations for BK4 classification of bridges (not older than 10 years).

• Has experience in developing at least one road plan.

• Has worked with bridge production (site manager, project manager, or construction manager) with a total cost of at least 20 million SEK. A bridge refers to a cast-in-place concrete structure intended for vehicle traffic.

Certification according to TDOK 2018:0371 APV, at least according to the requirements in step 2.2. To be verified through certificates.

Has completed training to function as the Client's construction work environment coordinator, BAS-P and BAS-U.
