We are looking for a Construction Manager – Contract Follow-up for a total contract regarding the installation of IP-based emergency disconnection in southern Sweden on behalf of the Swedish Transport Administration.

The assignment is a consulting assignment that runs until 2029 and includes a total of approximately 1,350 hours.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role of Construction Manager – Contract Follow-up means, on behalf of the client, to follow up, control, and verify that contracts are executed in accordance with contract documents, regulatory requirements, and established control programs. The assignment covers the entire implementation phase – from design through production to handover for management – with a focus on quality, risk, environment, safety, technology, and documentation. The assignment pertains to Southern Sweden, where the consultant can reside in southern Sweden and carry out the work through travel to the project and construction sites covered by the assignment according to the client's instructions.

Responsibilities

Establish, manage, and update control programs and control plans for design and production based on risk analysis, regulatory requirements, and contract documents.

Follow up and verify the contractor's quality control, including control programs, control plans, work preparations, risk management, as well as completed verifications and tests.

Review and conduct acceptance control of the contractor's documents and ensure that contract requirements are met.

Conduct site inspections, rounds, and supervision, and follow up on performance in relation to documents, schedules, quantities, and financial adjustments.

Participate in design meetings, construction meetings, coordination meetings, site inspections, and reviews, and prepare documentation for these.

Prepare decision-making documentation for changes and additional work (ÄTA) as well as quantity and cost adjustments.

Verify that delivered goods, products, and technical systems meet contracts, referenced standards, and documented requirements.

Follow up on the contractor's relationship documents, operation and maintenance instructions, and ensure correct and complete documentation for final inspection and handover.

Conduct and follow up on environmental assurance, safety, and working environment, including follow-up of BAS-U, safety rounds, and work preparations.

Perform ongoing documentation and written reporting to project management and contribute to handover to management, including management data and final documentation.

Geographical Scope

The consultant can reside in southern Sweden and carry out the assignment through travel to the locations and projects covered by each main part, according to the client's instructions.

Main Part 1: Varberg, Olskroken, Sjömarken, Uddevalla, Skälebol, Älvängen, Öxnered, Mon, Fjärås, Trollhättan, Gothenburg, Sävenäs, Munkedal, Tanum, Dingle, Strömstad.

Main Part 2: Falköping, Moholm, Mjölby, Nässjö, Sjömarken, Herrljunga, Linköping, Jönköping.

Main Part 3: Stockaryd, Emmaboda, Hässleholm, Alvesta, Värnamo, Bräkne-Hoby, Kalmar, TKL Värnamo.

Main Part 4: Lund OS, Lund FS, Eslöv, Åstorp, Kattarp, Ängelholm, Eldsberga, Ramlösa, Helsingborg.

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

Driver's license B.

At least 3 years of work experience (as a construction manager or in a supervisory role such as production manager, site manager, site supervisor, or equivalent) in the railway sector. The work experience should not be older than 10 years.

Knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and regulations in the relevant area.

At least 3 years of work experience (as a construction manager or in a supervisory role such as production manager, site manager, site supervisor, or equivalent) in low/high voltage railway electricity. The work experience should not be older than 10 years.

Familiarity with laws and regulations as well as standards and regulations in the relevant area.

Education equivalent to high school, university, or master's degree with a focus on electrical power.

At least 2 years of work experience with control systems and substations for power facilities in at least one of the following areas (The work experience should not be older than eight (8) years):

  • designing tender documents.

  • site supervision.

  • installation.

  • commissioning.
