Our Operations
The Primary Care Department in Uppsala is located at Kronparksgården in the picturesque Ulleråker, and we have about 60 employees. We have two departments with room for 30 patients. We primarily care for elderly patients who need inpatient care but do not require the specialist resources of a hospital. Patients are admitted from the Mobile Primary Care Team, health center, or the emergency department at Akademiska Hospital.
Here we work in teams with the patient in focus. As a nursing assistant, you work closely with the patient performing standard nursing assistant tasks. You will become part of a wonderful group with diverse ages, genders, and experiences. We support each other and help out. You are never alone!
Your Mission
As a nursing assistant with us, you will work together with the rest of the team to meet the patient's needs for medical care. You observe, assess, perform, and evaluate care. Your tasks include taking venous samples, placing catheters, wound dressings, monitoring vital parameters, and more. You will also be part of the patient's rehabilitation.
In addition to providing the best possible care to our patients, we actively work on continuous evaluation and development of the operations. We work together to create a cohesive care process where everyone knows their role and can contribute to clarity and security for patients and relatives. We work with a 10-week schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with a certificate of protected professional title for nursing assistants from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Experience in inpatient care is a requirement.
As a person, you are flexible, unpretentious, have good communication skills, and take the initiative to provide good care. You value your role as a nursing assistant highly and have the patient at the center, being empathetic with the will and ability to see the patient's needs. With your commitment, positive attitude, and ability to collaborate, you contribute to a good working environment. We also see that you want to be involved in developing the department.
You should enjoy working with patients and their relatives. You focus on the patient and are responsible and motivated in your work. With us, there is a high flow of patients, which requires you to be flexible and have the ability to prioritize your work. Personal qualities are highly valued.
