The Medical Clinic in Mora consists of two care departments, ward 50 and ward 67, with a total of about 40 care places. Ward 67 focuses on cardiology, acute stroke, and geriatrics. In ward 67, we primarily work with the areas of cardiology, stroke, and rehabilitation. The outpatient care of the Medical Clinic consists of a heart clinic, gastroenterology clinic, hematology clinic, kidney and dialysis clinic, outpatient clinic for outpatient procedures/quick follow-ups, endoscopy unit, and diabetes/endocrinology clinic. The clinic is Spur-reviewed, and we work with continuous improvements. The Medical Clinic in Mora shares the emergency department/AVA and ICU with the surgical and orthopedic clinics. Here, different professions work together for the best of the patient, and it is important to be flexible in both thought and action.
1st line manager for ward 67, Medical Clinic Mora
Job ResponsibilitiesWe are now looking for a 1st line manager who works together with a colleague and has personnel responsibility for the entire ward 67. You will collaborate closely with doctors, support functions, and other managers with support from HR, finance, and business developers, among others.
As the 1st line manager for care ward 67, you, together with a colleague, are responsible for the ward's daily operations, quality and patient safety, finance and production, personnel and work environment. As a ward manager, you will work together in dialogue with the operations manager to develop your common working methods and possible division of responsibilities. Your main task is to lead, support, and develop the ward's nursing work in close cooperation with the medically responsible physician and to support employees in their development, creating conditions for a good work climate.
In daily management, you and your fellow managers have a shared responsibility, where you together lead both departments (ward 50 and ward 67) with common guidelines, routines, and supporting functions. The collaboration between the departments is good and characterized by uniformity and cooperation. Management work within inpatient care also includes close collaboration with patient-related services, care developers/patient safety coordinators, staffing assistants, ward pharmacists/medication department, and the medically responsible physician. In addition, there are staff functions in the form of HR partners and controllers to support you in your role.
You report directly to the operations manager and are part of the clinic's management team, where you are expected to actively participate in the entire clinic's results and development.
This is a permanent position with a basic employment and a time-limited managerial appointment as a 1st line manager at the care ward.
Other InformationQualificationsWe are looking for someone who
- is a registered nurse or has an academic education or similar
- has previous experience as a manager in a complex organization
Meritorious is
- experience in leading departmental work within inpatient care
- experience in internal medicine specialties
- experience in successfully leading change and improvement work and that you have previously worked with health professionals.
- experience in scheduling within a 24/7 operation
- experience in working with the personnel system Heroma or similar
- competence in labor law
