The Forensic Psychiatry Emergency Unit at Helix in Flemingsberg is in an exciting phase of development.

We are expanding our operations and are about to split the emergency unit into two separate units to further strengthen quality, work environment, and patient safety. Therefore, we are now looking for assistant nurses for shifts during the day, evening, and weekends.

Forensic Psychiatry Care Stockholm provides forensic psychiatric care in Stockholm County and has a county-wide responsibility for patients coming from the correctional services. Patients are cared for according to the Forensic Psychiatric Care Act (LRV). Many patients have long-term and severe mental disabilities. There is often also a substance abuse problem that can complicate the care process.

Job Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse with us, you will be offered a job with varied and challenging tasks. You will participate in the nursing work around the patient, which includes individual care planning. All care and treatment are team-oriented, meaning you will work together with other professionals in the organization around the patient to tailor care interventions to each patient's individual needs.

Documentation is done in the Take Care journal system.

Qualifications:

We are looking for you who are a trained assistant nurse. Experience in forensic psychiatric/psychiatric round-the-clock care and/or correctional care is an advantage. Please attach proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare of your protected professional title if you have it.

As an assistant nurse with us, you need to be secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. Sometimes the work can be unpredictable, and you need to be able to act flexibly, be solution-oriented, and maintain your calm. Since teamwork is central to the department, it is also important that you are attentive, have good collaboration skills, and are clear in your communication.

• in addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
