Specialist Nursing Assistant for Our Geriatric Psychiatric Department

Geriatric psychiatry focuses on mental health issues in older adults, typically over the age of 65. The work also includes preventive measures to promote mental health among the elderly.

Björkris care and nursing home is the largest facility in Kungsbacka municipality and is a modern residence with 120 apartments, completed in spring 2023. Here, you will find Kungsbacka's geriatric psychiatric department. At Björkris, we create a safe and homely environment for our residents. The Role of Specialist Nursing Assistant

As a specialist nursing assistant with us, you will work according to the job description for nursing assistants, where you will be very much involved in core operations and meet individuals with various needs within geriatric psychiatry and dementia. In addition, the following tasks are included:

• Drive work with BPSD
• Initiate, drive, and implement quality and operational improvements.
• Support the manager in developing the operations based on the unit's needs.
• Be a support function in specific areas such as dementia and geriatric psychiatry.
• Support and introduce new employees/colleagues.
• Be a supervisor (main supervisor)
• Contribute to the optimal use of the unit's resources.
• Collaboration internally and externally.
• Skilled in digital tools.

Your Profile

As a person, you are accommodating in your interactions and attentive to your surroundings. You create new contacts as well as maintain your current work relationships. You are self-driven, responsible, and push your work forward, delivering results while prioritizing your tasks effectively. You see opportunities in changes, take initiatives, and come up with new approaches to work-related issues. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. Personal suitability will be of great importance.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a trained nursing assistant
• is a trained specialist nursing assistant with 200 vocational college credits or alternatively 60 university credits
• has strong skills in handling digital tools

Our Offer and Additional Information

We offer a permanent full-time position as a specialist nursing assistant with a start date according to agreement. Please note that evening and weekend work is included in your schedule.
