Job Advertisement: Nurse for Digiphysical Clinic

Join us in developing the future of ear, nose, and throat healthcare through an exciting collaboration with Karolinska University Hospital.

We will be launching a digiphysical clinic, which combines a physical nursing clinic with remote assessments by doctors.

Together, we strive to offer the residents of Norrtälje Municipality close and qualified care through remote diagnostics and technological development in combination with traditional doctor visits a few days a week.

About the Position

As a nurse, you will help establish a nursing clinic where you and a nursing colleague will independently perform clinical examinations documented via video/image. The results of the examinations will be assessed by doctors at Karolinska, who will diagnose and communicate their assessments to the patients. The work also involves assisting with doctor visits, telephone consultations, and administrative tasks such as referral management, appointments, and handling cases in Alltid öppet, etc.

You will work in a small team consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. The clinic is closed during weeks 28–31 and week 52 for vacation.

The position is 50% and has a fixed schedule alternating between odd and even weeks. Unfortunately, the schedule cannot be changed as it is adapted to local planning and the availability of doctors.

As we have just started our collaboration, there will be ongoing work to review which examinations currently performed by doctors can in the future be conducted by nurses.

Examples of tasks we are considering include:

• Performing video endoscopy of the nasal cavity, throat, and vocal cords as well as ear canals.
• Cleaning of ear canals.
• Removal of foreign bodies.

About Our Offer:

In this role, you will receive training in the relevant procedures. We offer a wellness allowance of up to 5,000 SEK per year for full-time employees through Epassi. About You

For this position, you need to:

• Be a licensed nurse.
• Have experience working in ear/nose/throat.
• Have excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
