Addiction Center Stockholm is Sweden's largest addiction clinic. We offer support and help to individuals with problems related to alcohol, drugs, medications, or gambling. Our operations include emergency and inpatient care, local outpatient care, and highly specialized care. We also conduct university healthcare, research, and education.

About us

The Addiction Reception in Södertälje offers specialized outpatient care for individuals with alcohol and substance dependence. We work in a multidisciplinary manner with the patient at the center, striving for high quality, participation, and respectful treatment. The reception is currently in a development phase where new working methods, collaboration, and improvement efforts are important components.

Your mission

As a nurse with us, you will play a central role in patient work. Your tasks will include:

• Nursing assessments and follow-ups.
• Medication management.
• Psychological treatments such as relapse prevention and motivational interviewing.
• Patient and family education.
• Collaboration with doctors, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other care providers.
• Participation in the development of working methods and care processes.

Personal qualities and qualifications

• Licensed nurse.
• Interest in or experience with addiction care, psychiatry, or related fields.
• Works independently but enjoys teamwork.
• Has a professional, empathetic, and structured approach.
• Willing to contribute to the development of care.

Further education in psychiatry is an advantage.

Addiction Center Stockholm applies alcohol and drug testing as well as background checks upon hiring.

The position is filled on the condition that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.

For patient-related work within the Stockholm Region's healthcare area:

• Background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during hiring.
• Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to applicable directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
• In addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
