Quartermaster at FMTIS Execution Unit West

Are you a professional officer, working in logistics, or looking for a new exciting challenge? FMTIS Execution Unit West, GE West, is now seeking a proactive and solution-oriented Quartermaster (KVM) based in Skövde or Halmstad.

About the Position

The position is placed at the GE West Staff Department, which provides management support to the unit manager in the functions of personnel services, security services, execution management, logistics, and planning. As a Quartermaster at GE West, you will have the opportunity to plan, lead, and follow up on the overall logistics for the unit's needs at the garrisons where the unit operates and at the Swedish Armed Forces' facilities. As a staff member, you are expected to support, primarily within your own function, other staff members and functions at all levels of conflict. This means you should be able to work both independently and in a team. The Quartermaster should be able to lead or participate in preparations at the unit.

Main Responsibilities

• Functional management (planning, execution, and follow-up) of the unit's logistics (supply and technical services) including, among other things:
• Follow-up in PRIO and Lift
• Support to the departments' logistics officers
• Lead logistics functional meetings
• Material planning and needs assessment of the unit's war and peace materials
• Participation in the unit's and the unit's war planning and development work.

About the Unit

FMTIS has four execution units (GE) in Sweden that perform maintenance of the Armed Forces' command systems in the IT and telecommunications area, and the position is located at GE West. The unit works with the maintenance of the Armed Forces' telecommunications network, electricity, mechanics, radio, sensor, surveillance, and field systems, as well as installation, operation, and maintenance of various IT systems. The geographical spread of the unit and the complex assignments entail regular business trips within and outside the unit's area.

Qualifications

• Professional officer (officer or specialist officer)
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Driving license B (manual transmission)

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone with experience in logistics within the Armed Forces with some proficiency in relevant logistics support systems. You have a good analytical ability and can see both details and the big picture. You take initiative and act even with limited information. You see how logistics both limits and creates conditions for the unit's ongoing and planned assignments and contribute to the desired results in both planning and execution phases. You have good collaboration skills and can easily express your opinion, based on relevant and factual arguments, in both text and speech. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Meritorious

• Experience in logistics at the battalion level (S4).
• Experience as a company quartermaster
• Knowledge of logistics at the operational/strategic level.
• Experience with support systems PRIO logistics transactions and LIFT logistics menu codes.
