About Praktiska Gymnasiet

Praktiska Gymnasiet is the largest in Sweden in vocational upper secondary education. We know that a good vocational education leads to jobs directly after high school, giving our youth a chance to establish themselves in society early. In our teaching, we mix theory with a lot of practice and work to give our students the best school time of their lives. Our guiding principles are ambition, strength, and passion. Our values permeate the entire organization, regardless of your role.

Praktiska Gymnasiet Skövde

The school has five vocational programs; FS, HV/florist, VO, FT, and BA programs and conducts teaching in its own premises located on Kylarvägen in Skövde. There are also students who are in introductory programs integrated into a chosen vocational program. About 190 students attend the school.

Your mission

The position is a permanent employment at 100% starting in August -25. You will teach students in the Construction and Civil Engineering program - house building and painting.

We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the teaching and the subject, with students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to vocational-specific duties, like other teachers at the school, you will also coach students both socially and academically.

We primarily communicate through Schoolsoft and work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and planning. This applies to both students and colleagues.

We are primarily looking for a qualified teacher. We place great importance on personal qualities and value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs. Your AMBITION is to reach every student with your pedagogy, with high expectations of yourself. With your STRENGTH, you stand up for values such as sustainability, diversity, and equality, and you inspire your students. Through your PASSION, you inspire and engage each student to develop as far as possible based on their own conditions. Our students long to enter the workforce, and your greatest task is to lead them there!
