At Arvika Municipality, we are on an exciting journey of change and we are looking for a driven, brave, and proactive unit manager for our daily operations in the external part.
The external part refers to users who have their employment in a group or have the service independently with an external employer.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in making a difference in their work. The job is challenging, varied, and meaningful, and you will truly contribute. As we have an expanded/changed target group within co-occurring disorders in daily operations, we want you to contribute your thoughts and ideas while also utilizing the experience available in the organization. You are interested in working with development and finding new paths and solutions.
At Arvika Municipality, we work to create good conditions for our managers to conduct close leadership.
In your role as unit manager, you will have administrative support to assist with short-term recruitment. As an employer, we invest in training in leadership and employee engagement and have good support from functions such as HR, finance, and other operational support.
We offer wellness grants, wellness hours, and the possibility to work remotely to some extent.
Qualifications
To succeed in the role of unit manager, we see that you have:
- A bachelor's degree in social work.
- A valid driver's license (B).
- Excellent command of Swedish, both spoken and written. You should be able to independently write reports and official documents.
- Good computer skills.
It is an advantage if you also have:
- Several years of leadership experience and knowledge in the area of disabilities.
- Previous experience in labor market issues and co-occurring disorders.
To succeed in the role of unit manager, we see that you are communicative, solution-focused, and goal-oriented. You have the ability to motivate and develop others, as well as inspire good work efforts, create joy at work, and pride in the team.

Responsibilities
As a unit manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that daily operations are carried out in accordance with political decisions, the current operational plan, and legislation. You will:
- Ensure implementation based on authority decisions.
- Be responsible for the unit's finances and contribute to sustainable economic development.
- Plan, lead, develop, and evaluate the operations.
- Be responsible for the work environment in the unit, focusing on systematic work environment efforts. It is of utmost importance to maintain a safe and good work environment for employees and have a strong user focus.
- Be involved in developing the LSS operations as a whole together with other colleagues.
- Join the management group for LSS operations together with the department head and eight colleagues. Together, we form a positive, solution-focused, and future-oriented department.
In daily operations, you will eventually become two managers. You will be responsible for your respective unit but should be able to cover for each other.
