We are looking for someone who loves local and regional engaging journalism, and who thrives on the task of developing journalism together with the editorial team.

NWT is a prosperous newspaper with a clear digital focus. The newspaper is a news leader in Värmland and has seen a steadily increasing circulation over the past five years, both digitally and in total.

About the position

As the editor-in-chief for NWT, your most important task is to have overall responsibility for the development of the newspaper's journalism to match the needs of our target audiences. You will establish and follow up on editorial goals and have responsibility for the work environment, budget, and personnel. You are also the newspaper's publisher and public face.

You will be part of Erna Media's management team for editorial operations.

About us

Nya Wermlands-Tidningen was founded in 1836 and is published six days a week in print and as an e-newspaper. News is disseminated around the clock every day of the year on nwt.se. The editorial team consists of over 40 employees at the main office in Karlstad, and local newsrooms in Hagfors and Torsby. The newspaper has a circulation of 44,900 (2024).

NWT is the largest newspaper within Erna Media AB, which operates 15 newspapers in Värmland, Skaraborg, and Dalsland.

Our headquarters is located in Karlstad.
