To succeed in this, we see that all managers and leaders have an important role. In Region Värmland, we utilize the leadership concepts of Developmental Leadership and Indirect Leadership.
As a new manager in the region, you will participate in a training program during your first year. We also offer individual coaching to support you in your role. We want to provide our managers with the right conditions to succeed. Through you as a manager, our employees can grow and contribute to even better service for everyone living here.
Your Mission
As a unit manager, you are responsible for leading, coordinating, and developing services within Child, Youth and Family Health in Northern Värmland. The mission includes midwifery clinics, child health care, as well as youth clinics and family centers in collaboration with municipalities.
You have full line responsibility for personnel, working environment, finances, and the quality of the services. The role entails a present leadership with a focus on everyday tasks, stable operations, and long-term sustainability. You are responsible for ensuring that the services are conducted according to assignments, goals, and applicable regulations, as well as that working methods evolve in line with changing needs and conditions.
The services are an important part of the transition to Close Care. This means a clear focus on accessibility, continuity, relationships, and early interventions. As a unit manager, you contribute to developing care that is based on the needs of the child and family and characterized by collaboration between the region, municipalities, and other actors, especially within the work of family centers.
Your mission includes working with wise clinical choices and contributing to a responsible and needs-driven use of resources. As an organization, we strive to find appropriate working methods such as digital approaches and other solutions where they can provide the same or better quality as more traditional methods.
Your Knowledge and Competencies
We are looking for someone with relevant higher education in health care, social work, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. You have experience in managerial or leadership roles and are confident in taking responsibility for personnel, operations, and decisions in everyday life. Experience in maternal and child health care, family center work, or collaboration between region and municipality is an advantage.
As a person, you are secure in your leadership, clear in your accountability, and present in your relationship with employees. You have the ability to create structure in everyday life, handle change thoughtfully, and contribute to development with a focus on core tasks. You need to be able to switch between a local and regional perspective and thrive in a role where leadership occurs both remotely and with physical presence.
We are keen to find the right person, which is why we highly value your personal qualities.
