Summer Substitute as Production Leader

The Stockholm West area in the picturesque Ekerö municipality includes the open prison Svartsjö, the women's prison Färingsö, and the remand prison Färingsö. About 170 employees and ten managers manage, lead, and develop the operations that accommodate around 270 inmates. The largest professional group is prison officers, but there are also healthcare professionals, administrative staff, educators, and production leaders working here.

The inmates are engaged in education, various treatment programs, and work in the wood and craft industry, packaging/assembly, and ecological agriculture with grain cultivation and animal husbandry. They also run a farm shop where self-produced goods such as plants and crafts are sold. The two prisons are located close to each other and are easily accessible by bus or car. Free parking is available for staff.

Having a job is an important part of preparing for a functioning life after serving a sentence. As a production leader, you are a key person in this work; you lead, support, and motivate the inmates in their daily activities and help create structure, responsibility, and development in their everyday lives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a summer substitute as a production leader and, together with our inmates, be responsible for the production of the operations.

As a production leader, you are responsible for planning, leading, and following up on the daily work.

You set goals, supervise, and document the inmates' efforts and ensure that premises and machines are maintained correctly and safely. The role also involves participating in the practical production work yourself. Together with your colleagues, you are involved in production planning and contribute to the effective development and operation of the business.

You work closely with other professional groups in the prison and contribute to the development and motivation of the inmates. Because while our production should be economically sustainable, profit and volume are not our primary goals. Our work is about creating social value and providing people with better conditions when they return to society.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has good self-awareness. You collaborate well with others and have clear, well-founded values. In stressful situations, you remain calm and have the ability to make wise assessments and priorities. You also have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and can adapt your communication style based on the recipient's conditions. The role also requires you to have a physical ability that allows you to act if the situation demands it.

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school diploma or equivalent education, preferably from the fields mentioned above
• At least 1 year of work experience
• Experience in carpentry, construction, manufacturing industry, agriculture, gardening, ceramics, sewing, or other craft professions
• Good Swedish in both spoken and written form

It is advantageous to have:

• Experience working as a supervisor or mentor
• Experience in pedagogical motivational work
• Experience in prison service, security work, social care, or another area within the social sector
• Forklift license
• Driver's license for passenger car

You should preferably be able to work the entire period from week 23 to 33.
