Läckö Castle, beautifully located on a peninsula by Lake Vänern in Lidköping Municipality, is one of the largest tourist attractions in the Västra Götaland region. The castle is a state building monument and one of Sweden's best-preserved buildings from the Swedish Empire period. The Läckö Castle Foundation conducts a broad cultural tourism operation here.

Job Description

To meet the increasing demand for guided tours from our international guests, we are particularly looking for someone who wants to work as a guide/visitor host and has good language skills in German.

As a guide/visitor host at Läckö Castle, you will work to convey and bring to life the castle's history in an informative and inspiring way. The position also involves overseeing the castle's culturally and historically valuable environments.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with good knowledge of German and an interest in history. Previous work as a guide/visitor host is an advantage.

We expect you to have an outgoing working style with good collaboration skills. Service and good hospitality are extremely important to us, which means you should have a high sense of service and a genuine interest in conveying knowledge/information to all the people who visit the area around Läckö Castle and the biosphere area daily. As an employee with us, you are an important part of the entire visitor destination's hospitality work.

You should have a strong interest in personal interactions with people. As a person, you are attentive and have the ability to inspire and enthuse; you also enjoy speaking in front of an audience. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and consider it natural that you contribute to a good working atmosphere.

It is an advantage if you have a driver's license and access to a car.

About the Positions

The positions run from June to August/September, with the possibility of extra work during the pre- and post-season.

Weekend work is included, as the operation is open 7 days a week.
