Your role

The assignment involves working as a special educator at the school's upper secondary level. You will work at the individual, group, and organizational levels and contribute with special educational expertise in the school's overall student health work.

Your tasks will include:

  • mapping, pedagogical investigations, and establishing, following up, and evaluating action programs and other interventions
  • participating in student health meetings, network meetings, and other collaborative forms
  • close collaboration with school management, student health team, and teaching staff

If necessary, special education may also be included, for example, for students with problematic school absenteeism.

A central part of the assignment is to work closely with teachers in a guiding and coaching role, where you, through attentiveness, professional dialogue, and trusting collaboration, contribute to developing teaching and creating good conditions for all students' learning.

The position also includes, together with school management, another special educator, and special teachers, organizing and developing the school's studio activities. You will actively work with structure, follow-up, and communication to ensure that the special educational support is appropriate and equitable.

You will closely collaborate with the deputy principal at the upper secondary level and have a clear responsibility in following up and organizing ongoing special educational work, as well as contributing to ensuring that the school's special educational efforts function well.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • is a qualified special educator and has several years of experience working in the later years of primary school
  • has good organizational and documentation skills and is accustomed to working systematically
  • has high work capacity, can handle several parallel processes, and works persistently over time
  • is confident in your profession, independent in your role, and unpretentious in collaboration with others
  • has very good collaboration skills and strong relational competence

You are attentive, communicative, and have a good ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You meet different perspectives with respect and understanding and adapt your support based on the individual and context.

It is an advantage if you have good knowledge of the Education Administration's organization of student health, including application procedures, operational support, and special teaching groups.
