About the Schools

Praktiska Gymnasiet Borås/Göteborg-Majorna offers students a concept where theory is combined with practical exercises both in school and at workplaces. At Praktiska, we set high standards for ourselves to create the best conditions for an educational and enjoyable training. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, closeness, and practical learning. Our program offerings at the schools consist of vocational programs: BA-, EE-, FT-, HV/hairdresser & stylist-, VO-, IN-, RL- and Introduction programs. Currently, each school has 140 and 210 students.

Your Mission

We offer a position as a school nurse as a permanent employment with a scope of 60% (Borås 20% and Göteborg 40%). The mission of student health is to support students' development towards the goals of education, primarily through health-promoting and preventive work. As a school nurse, you contribute nursing and medical expertise as support in the work with students' learning. The school nurse's preventive and health-promoting mission includes offering health visits, health checks, and vaccinations. Guidelines and methodological support can be found in the methodology book for the medical intervention of student health in high school.

In the role of school nurse with us, you will be part of the school's student health team and have close cooperation with school management, EHT, mentors, educators, guardians, and authorities outside the school. The mission also involves participating in the school's development work and in the joint development and quality assurance work within the medical student health.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse with specialist training as a pediatric nurse, district nurse, or school nurse. You are interested in working with preventive health work and operating in a modern school nurse role.

To thrive in the role of school nurse with us, we hope you have high ambitions, are proactive, organized, and empathetic and attentive. Above all, you are passionate about building relationships with our students and see their development and learning as an important starting point in your work.

If you have previously worked as a school nurse or have experience in health-promoting work with children and young people, we see this as very positive. Experience with digital journal systems is an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
