Street/Park/Harbor is hiring seasonal workers

The Technical Division operates its business independently and consists of five areas: Street/Park/Harbor, Nyköping Water, Waste Management, Municipal Properties, and Meal Services. These are supported by a project department, finance department, and an administrative staff. The division employs about 400 staff and has an annual turnover of over 1 billion SEK. Our clients are the Municipal Executive Board, the Environmental and Community Planning Committee, and the Culture and Leisure Committee.

The Street, Park, Harbor section within the technical division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of streets, parks, and Nyköping Harbor on behalf of the Building and Technical Committee, as well as certain recreational facilities on behalf of the Culture and Leisure Committee. The operation ensures that Nyköping has a functional and safe street and road system that meets the traffic safety, security, and accessibility needs of road users. Well-maintained streets, beautiful park environments, safe playgrounds, and a vibrant harbor should make Nyköping an attractive place for both residents and visitors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Street/Park/Harbor is looking for two dedicated individuals for seasonal employment from April to October to work with cleaning and maintenance of streets, parks, and green areas.

The results of your work are highly appreciated by the municipality's residents and are an important part of keeping our city clean and tidy. You will ensure that the municipality's areas are well-kept and clean. Your tasks include cleaning our streets, parks, and squares, as well as emptying trash bins to keep them free of litter. There may be instances where dead animals need to be handled. The work is independent and requires a high level of responsibility.

Some weekend work may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS

To thrive in this role, we see that you are a social person who is good at collaborating. You enjoy physical and active work and appreciate the charm of working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

You who apply:

• have a B driver's license as you will be driving a park vehicle to perform the job
• understand and master Swedish

It is an advantage if you have good local knowledge of Nyköping municipality.

You are social and service-oriented; it is important that you interact with citizens and tourists in a positive and friendly manner. You can work independently with a high level of responsibility and are meticulous in your work.
