Are you a responsible person looking for a job where you can make a significant contribution to society?

We at Securitas are currently looking for someone interested in working as a freight operator with us. Our working hours follow the freight terminal's opening hours, which are mainly afternoons and evenings on weekdays. If you enjoy a role where you work in a team but also get to take a lot of personal responsibility and have close customer contact, you might be the one we are looking for. The position is a summer temporary position, with the possibility of on-call employment after the summer. This is particularly suitable for you who, for example, are studying, working part-time, or are self-employed.

As a freight operator, you will work with security tasks and X-ray within air freight. As a freight operator, you are part of a dedicated group providing services to freight and mail terminals. Your job is to X-ray and check for all conceivable threats and to create a safe, secure freight and mail handling.

You will:

• be trained as security personnel who check freight and mail
• be trained in the education required by the Swedish Transport Agency for Freight and Mail
• be trained in DGR Cat 12 (Dangerous Goods)

The training is provided and conducted by Securitas instructors.

Requirements

• You have passing grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Hold a B driver's license and preferably have access to a car (as public transport does not always align with our working hours)
• You are fluent in both Swedish and English
• Pass a background check by the Swedish Transport Agency (application is made by Securitas)

As a person, we believe you are meticulous, calm, and organized, able to handle periods of high work pace. We would like you to be patient, have an interest in technology, and find it easy to understand instructions.

• Working hours are afternoon-evening, about 4 hours per shift, Monday-Friday.

For employment with Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have passing grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved under the respective legislation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legal compliance, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
