Workshop Technician in Transport Service

Your Mission

In the role of workshop technician, you are responsible for keeping the municipality's passenger and light transport vehicles operational. The work is independent but takes place in close collaboration with the car pool coordinator and other colleagues within Transport Service.

Your Tasks Include:

• Planning and booking of service and inspection appointments
• Picking up and dropping off vehicles at workshops and inspections
• Basic vehicle service such as fluid refills, bulb replacements, and similar tasks
• Washing, cleaning, and fueling vehicles
• Assistance during breakdowns or punctures throughout the municipality
• Service and minor repairs of machinery for park and property services, including some welding work

Eslöv Municipality has approximately 150 vehicles in its fleet, providing a varied and dynamic work environment.

Your Experience

To succeed in this role, you need to have:

• Vocational training at the high school level or equivalent
• Experience working in a workshop
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• B driver's license for manual transmission and C driver's license
• Good computer skills, primarily in a Windows environment

It is advantageous if you:

• Have worked with vehicle pools or larger vehicle fleets
• Have experience from public sector work
• Hold YKB and/or training in hot work
