Care Assistant for Pool Services in Jönköping Municipality

Your new job

The pool services within special housing, also known as “Pool SÄBO”, are focused on elderly and dementia care based on five geographical areas in Jönköping Municipality. Pool SÄBO is structured into three workgroups that together serve all areas, with each workgroup having a night staff member.

As a pool care assistant at night, you have a significant role where you provide quality service for our elderly citizens and the booking units. You always work with respect for the citizens' integrity and base your work on the values of elderly care, which are built on participation, self-determination, and a health-promoting approach.

Examples of tasks:

• Personal care and social stimulation
• Daily chores such as cleaning and laundry
• Social activities
• Medication management
• Other responsibilities

In the pool services, you plan your availability both independently and together with colleagues. You have great opportunity to influence your work shifts, including weekdays and weekends, within the framework of the annual working time agreement. This means you have some flexibility to adjust your working hours according to what suits you. For the flexibility and independence that the role requires, you will receive a salary supplement.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a trained care assistant
• Has at least three years of accumulated work experience as a care assistant
• Has a B driver's license for passenger cars
• Has good computer skills and is quick to learn new digital tools
• Masters Swedish well in both speech and writing
• Has good physical mobility as situations may arise that cannot be predicted and must be solved in a situation-appropriate manner
• It is an advantage if you have experience working nights and/or in dementia care and/or with mental disabilities

Since the role involves work throughout Jönköping Municipality and public transport to our outer areas may be limited, it is an advantage if you have access to a car or other transportation.

The position suits you if you enjoy taking responsibility and can both independently and collaboratively plan, structure, and drive the work forward with the best interests of the organization in focus. As a person, you possess a high degree of personal maturity, you are calm and secure in yourself to create safety for the citizen. We also believe you are solution-focused, flexible, and able to adapt your approach based on the situation and person.

Good to know

The recruitment is for a temporary position of about six months with start date as agreed. There may be an opportunity for permanent employment. We apply full-time as the norm and always offer 100% working hours.

You will work from home, and your working hours are primarily scheduled for evenings and nights, both weekdays and weekends.
