Industrialization Engineer Wanted for Defense Industry

We are looking for a knowledgeable and development-oriented Industrialization Engineer for a one-year consulting assignment with a client in the defense industry in Karlskoga. This assignment is suitable for you who want to work in a technically advanced and socially important operation where industrialization and robust production processes are crucial for success.

About the Position

As an Industrialization Engineer, you will have overall technical responsibility for manufacturability and industrialization. You will act as the link between product development and production and will drive processes and activities related to industrialization, from prototype to serial production.

The role involves setting requirements for design and preparing for production to ensure a repeatable and efficient realization of designs that meet established goals regarding quality, customer requirements, work environment, and production efficiency.

You are expected to quickly familiarize yourself with existing industrialization processes and actively contribute with improvement suggestions to optimize the transition from development to serial production.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Be responsible for manufacturability and industrialization from a technical holistic perspective.
• Set requirements for construction and design with a focus on manufacturability.
• Prepare products and processes for serial production.
• Ensure that designs meet requirements for quality, work environment, customer requirements, and production goals.
• Act as a technical bridge between product development and production.
• Drive and participate in industrialization-related processes and improvement activities.
• Contribute to optimizing the industrialization process from prototype to serial production.
• Participate in the introduction of new products, processes, and work methods.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with a technical background and several years of experience in industrialization, production technology, or related fields. You are used to working cross-functionally and have the ability to combine technical detail understanding with a holistic perspective.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, or equivalent.
• Experience in industrialization and/or production technology work.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and manufacturability.
• Experience in setting requirements for construction.
• Ability to drive improvement work and work systematically.
• An analytical, solution-oriented, and development-focused working style.
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English.
