JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of Safety Coordinator at our establishment in Västerås, you will have a key role where you work both strategically and operationally to ensure that our projects are conducted with the highest focus on safety and working environment.

You are an important support to the project organization and have an active dialogue with our clients on issues related to the working environment, electrical safety, and traffic safety. Through your competence and engagement, you contribute to creating safe workplaces where people thrive and develop. You will be placed in one of our maintenance contracts and have a central role in your work towards Division Support and the safety function. You report to the site manager.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• Establishing and developing work environment plans, safety plans, and risk assessments
• Participating in meetings with clients regarding the working environment and safety
• Ensuring that safety regulations are communicated and followed
• Managing permissions for internal and hired personnel
• Supporting supervisors in planning safety measures
• Following up on workplace controls and deviations
• Assisting the site manager in investigating incidents and proposing measures
• Ensuring that the project follows internal routines, legal requirements, and client demands

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role of Safety Coordinator, we see that you have a completed high school education. You also have a post-secondary education in BEST railway, working environment, quality, or another relevant field. Alternatively, you have equivalent experience from working life.

You have worked for at least two years in the railway or contracting industry and have basic knowledge of the laws, regulations, and directives that apply to safety and working environment. You have a B driver's license. You express yourself well in both speech and writing and have good knowledge of the Office suite. You are used to working in projects and have a basic understanding of tendering work. In addition, you have a general technical understanding of railways.

As a person, you thrive with many contact surfaces and enjoy collaborating with others. You have a businesslike approach and work in a structured manner.

The Safety Coordinator is a new role at Infranord where you will have the opportunity to drive, project manage, and develop new processes and working methods.
