Occupational Therapist to Pajala Municipality

Pajala Municipality is the large (in area) small municipality located in the land of the northern lights and midnight sun – Tornedalen, in eastern Norrbotten. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an occupational therapist, you will assess individuals' rehabilitation needs and initiate appropriate measures. Prescribing assistive devices is part of your work. You will guide and instruct care and support staff in preventive methods and daily rehabilitation.

The work is both independent and in teams with other professionals. You will be part of the municipality's Health and Medical Care Unit, which, in addition to occupational therapists, consists of physiotherapists, district nurses, and registered nurses. You will also collaborate closely with, for example, case managers.

As an occupational therapist in Pajala Municipality, you will work in home care, in special housing for the elderly, and in special housing for people with disabilities.

If you work at least 75% for eight weeks during the period of weeks 25-32, you will receive a SUMMER BONUS of 20,000 SEK (the bonus is taxable, and absence may affect the bonus). If you were born in 1958 or earlier, you will receive a 25% higher hourly wage during weeks 25-32. Employees in the support and care sector receive double on-call compensation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed Occupational Therapist. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Good knowledge of Swedish is a requirement. A valid driver's license (B) is also required.
