Tasks

As a night nurse, you have an important and independent role. You collaborate with basic staff, other nurses, and various healthcare actors in the joint work surrounding our patients. The work is varied and stimulating, with the entire Luleå municipality as your catchment area.

Our patients live in care, support, and nursing homes as well as in ordinary housing. You will use a car for work, and the job includes both planned and unplanned home visits. The assignment also includes delegation, medication management, as well as training and mentoring of both staff and patients.

You will meet people in different life situations with varying needs, making the work both meaningful and varied. The role involves assessing health and medical care needs, prioritizing interventions, and providing some telephone advice. You delegate, give advice, and mentor colleagues in nursing care around the patients.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with various professions within our own operations as well as with other healthcare providers. Working hours are scheduled for night shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who wants to work nights and is a licensed nurse or will graduate in the near future (no later than summer 2026).

As a person, you are secure and stable, and you can maintain your calm even when the tempo increases. You are attentive to patients and relatives and find it easy to build trusting relationships, which is extra important during night work where you often work independently. At the same time, you are collaborative and see the value of good interaction with colleagues, night staff, and other professional groups to create a safe and well-functioning work night.

We value a non-pretentious approach where you contribute with engagement to a good work environment and a work climate where both patients and colleagues feel safe.

The work requires good medical competence as well as good computer skills and documentation ability. You need to be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing. A B-class driver's license is a requirement.
