About the role
As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for the software architecture of our embedded systems. You will define and maintain the architecture, translate product requirements into sustainable software solutions, and lead design decisions regarding communication protocols, security features, motor control, and system integration. You will set guidelines for development methods and tools, ensure that the software complies with relevant safety standards, and document architecture and interfaces. The role also includes operational programming, driving improvements in software reliability and performance, and keeping up to date with new technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance development efficiency.

You will work from our office in Jönköping and collaborate closely with systems engineers, software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers, both locally and with colleagues in our global development team. Together, you will ensure that technical decisions align with business and product goals. You will report to the R&D Manager.

Your profile
We believe that you are currently working as a software engineer or system architect and are ready to take the next step. You have a degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar, and experience in embedded software development. You have strong skills in C/C++. It is advantageous if you have experience with communication protocols such as LIN, UART, I²C, SPI, and Bluetooth, as well as an understanding of motor control, signal processing, and safety-critical software. You are proficient in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
