About the Organization

Nordmaling Municipality is looking for substitutes during the summer vacation for the LSS operations - services for people with disabilities. The LSS operations consist of daily activities, group homes, stairwell housing, and short-term accommodation. Here, there are opportunities to work as a residential assistant, aide, and work supervisor.

We would like you to be able to start working extra as needed already during the winter/spring.

This work includes day, evening, and night shifts according to a schedule.

Job Responsibilities

The work involves providing support and assistance to the target group so they can live an independent life and have a meaningful everyday life. Job duties include personal care as well as delegated tasks from the municipality's HSL unit. The work requires great patience and the ability to see consequences, as well as the ability to interpret and clarify the users' communication. We also work to provide users with an active leisure time, so daily outdoor activities and accompanying users to various activities are part of the staff's responsibilities.

About You

We are looking for someone who is over 18 years old. Experience working with users who have disabilities and mental diagnoses is an advantage, as well as knowledge and experience in low-arousal approaches.

To communicate with users and to write and access care/social documentation and receive medication delegation, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Your personality must match our users' needs, so great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• is positive, patient, and confident in themselves,
• has the ability to create calm and stability,
• can work both independently and in a team,
• is engaged and interested in working with users' development based on their conditions and needs,
• has good collaboration skills and sees opportunities instead of obstacles.

Response is the keyword in the work with our users within LSS. Having personal maturity means being able to see the consequences of one's actions in a longer perspective before acting. You need to be stable and perceived as such regardless of context and social demands. Being both stable and having personal maturity is necessary in the work with our users within LSS. The users' cognitive levels vary, and they need guidance in their daily lives and to feel secure. Our users also need staff who pedagogically show and guide them, making everyday life understandable.

Employment

Temporary position. Hourly wage. Start date according to agreement.

This year's summer periods last for eight weeks, from June 16 to August 10 (vacation periods June 16 – July 13 and July 14 – August 10). We prioritize those who want to work both periods.

Summer Bonus

Summer substitutes who sign up to work with us in the summer of 2025 during one or two vacation periods are offered a summer bonus. If you work at least 70% during the vacation periods, a summer bonus of 4000 SEK per vacation period is offered.

For those who are pensioners, we offer an additional 25% in salary for the time you go out to work. This applies to both single shifts and scheduled work.
