The ambulance service assesses and treats patients at home, at the scene of an accident, and during transport to the hospital, and also handles transports that require special medical care. Ambulance service in Västerbotten performs around 32,000 missions in the county. In Åsele, we have our emergency vehicle that works with acute care in collaboration with Åsele municipality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe.

The nurse within the ambulance service meets patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness, injury, or who need care during transport. You assess and treat patients at home, at the scene of an accident, and during transport to a healthcare facility. The job is about making a difference for others and showing humility and maintaining calm in demanding situations. In the ambulance, you work in a team, and our nurses have the medical responsibility. You and your colleague also have the ultimate responsibility to check at the beginning of each shift and throughout the shift that the ambulance has the correct equipment so you can perform your tasks safely for patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. It is an advantage if you are specialized in ambulance care or have other specializations that we consider valuable for the operation. Experience in emergency care is also an advantage.

You have a B driver's license and good driving experience. You master Swedish in both speech and writing.

Work in ambulance care can be physically demanding, therefore we require physical endurance.

As part of the recruitment process, you will undergo a fitness test and driving test.
