The Infection Clinic is a county and regional clinic with a broad range of services and has the status of a University Hospital Unit. The clinic has a care department with 19 beds and a reception for acute and planned care.

The Infection Department offers a varied, exciting, and developing job in a pleasant team where the pace fluctuates. Here, you will learn the most current practices in advanced infectious disease care, and you will gain extensive medical knowledge and experience to add to your knowledge bank.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure.

In our care department, no day is like the other. Here, patients with infections from head to toe are treated, and those who are investigated or treated for e.g., sepsis, pneumonia, tuberculosis, and Covid-19. As a nurse in the infection department, you will meet a wide range of different patient groups from both medical and surgical specialties. Competence in infectious disease care will certainly provide you with a broad foundation, whether you are new or experienced in the profession.

In our clinic, we work in teams with several professional categories, which gives us an understanding of each other's significance. It also provides broader competence.

Work is indeed a large and important part of our lives, but we value life outside of work, and it is important to achieve a functioning balance. With us, you are offered to join a work schedule model that provides shorter working hours and more time for recovery. You will also receive individual onboarding, at least 4 weeks, to ensure you feel secure, which is important as the work can vary in pace.

In our department, we have discharge nurses who contribute to a good flow and a safe discharge for our patients. We also offer mentorship for new employees.
