We are looking for a substitute for a maternity leave nurse

The Day Care Unit at Södersjukhuset is looking for a substitute for a nurse who will be on maternity leave.

We offer a varied job focusing on basic pre- and post-operative care within several surgical specialties. As a nurse with us, you will rotate between the Day Care Unit and the Preoperative Unit, with the possibility of also working in the Postoperative Department.

The Day Care Unit belongs to the operational area of Perioperative Care and Intensive Care.

About the Day Care Unit

The Day Care Unit cares for elective patients for day surgery from Södersjukhuset's various clinics: surgical, orthopedic, urological, and hand surgical clinics. In hand surgery, we also care for children and handle acute patients in addition to the elective flow.

About the Preoperative Unit

The Preoperative Unit prepares patients for major surgical procedures, such as upper and lower abdominal surgery, gynecological robotic surgery, vascular surgery, and orthopedics. We ensure that patients are ready for surgery by following our procedures for preoperative preparations.

Our mission

We strive to create a smooth flow to surgery and ensure that all patients are prepared on time. After surgery, we care for day surgery patients and perform relevant checks, mobilization, and information/education. We build trust and a safe environment around the patient.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse, preferably with experience in surgical care.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Employment form

Background check according to Södersjukhuset's guidelines will be conducted before employment.
