Waste Management

Are you service-oriented and genuinely interested in the environment and sustainability? We are now looking for a dedicated employee for our recycling centers – a role where you contribute to a better environment while providing excellent service to our visitors.

About the Position

As an employee at our recycling centers, you play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. You guide and inform visitors so that waste is sorted correctly and contributes to a sustainable environment.

You will also participate in planning daily operations, for example by ordering the emptying of containers from our contractor. An important part of your job is to ensure that the facility is clean, safe, and gives a welcoming impression.

The work takes place during the day, evenings, and weekends. Solo work occurs during certain shifts, and you will work outdoors year-round – regardless of weather conditions.

Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years old
• You have a high school diploma
• You have experience in service and customer interaction
• You have basic computer skills

It is an advantage if you have:

• A valid driver's license (B)
• Good knowledge of English

As the face of the recycling center, you have good social skills and enjoy providing great service. You are positive, solution-oriented, and like to create order, while also being flexible and able to handle unexpected situations. Additional Information

A large part of our operations is classified as critical societal functions as we supply drinking water to Sweden's fourth largest city. You should be prepared to be placed in a war role within the framework of Uppsala Water and Waste's role in total defense. Uppsala Water applies a 6-month probationary period.
